Gregor Allen has requeste a one man showing in September and I have scheduled it fo him in that month. Erroneuosly I reported that it was July and July is available club members to show their work. 

We are hanging at GVM Deli tomorrow night (7 PM) for the month of May. Gegor Allen has requested a one man showing in July so that time is also taken. Judy McPhee is presenting  next month and anyone interested can come and see how we do it.

I identified the bird in this image as an Immature American Robin, but after closer examination of certain features of the bird and discussion with interested parties and referencing more fully my reference materials I am convinced that the bird is, in fact, the Fox Sparrow. I have not seen this bird before anor have I potographed it but it matches all the descriptive information I have and even though it resembles the Immature Robin - and is certainly as large as a Robin - I think it is…

A lovely nurse at Greenwoods has a 12 year old son who does not do well in school but loves photography. She is willing to pay for some lessons in the basics to support him in his interest. Is anyone interested?

All my life I  have been able to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a big way and in another in another life I always prepared a large Corned beef and cabbage meal (with my secret corned beef recipe)- but for now the feeling still remains and I want to wish all our club members a happy day and caution those of you who might be prone to this - to not drink too much green beer!

Because of a request from the group that hangs after us at Country Grocer we will be leaving our exhibit up until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Margaret and I will be taking ours down then.

2 new members, Carol and Elizabeth, were welcomed and introduced to the group.

Bob Rogers mentioned that at next months meeting we will discuss whether to proceed with the $15 monthly fee for renting a projector and screen or whether the club should buy a screen. Doug and Judy will look into the sources used by the school and the Film Festival....possibly cheaper.
