Steve McCurry had a big show in Siena and an Umbria travel show in Assisi.
Sandro Becchetti had a huge show in Perugia which we saw today.
I am sharing McCurry's most famous photo (the 2nd of the 3) and two of my favorite Becchetti's. One of the Becchetti photos made me think of our next challenge: Light.
I am not sharing any of my own as I know that they all need editing and…

Curt is away in Italy so Bob Rogers ably chaired the meeting.
According to the vote taken on-site re change of meeting days, Bob says, with an extremely marginal difference, our meetings days stay at status quo, every second Wednesday. 31 members voted.
Peter Paul Harnisch has posted a forum on the idea of separate photo critiqeing sessions and we will wait till he can present it in person at a meeting to hear what he has in mind and how he sees it working. It sounds like a…

Last night we were treated to the amazing works and life story of Pat and Rosemarie Keough!
Pat and Rosemarie are a vibrant outgoing couple whose love for photography, wilderness and adventure brought them together. They are wonderfully entertaining speakers who managed to compress 30 odd years into two insightful hours.
They taught themselves the craft of photography (yes, there is hope for the rest of us), starting with a natural eye and an instinct for a good shot and have…

Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject(s) of an image. Negative space may be most evident when the space around a subject, and not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space is occasionally used to artistic effect as the "real" subject of an image. The use of negative space is a key element of artistic composition. The …

The project can be seen it two parts. The text is in Hebrew that may look weird on your screen; just ignore it and scroll down to see the photos.

Just kind of a final reminder that we will be hanging the show at 7:00 PM Saturday (Aug. 31), I need a little help though because I have tried to contact Gregor Alan who is doing the one man show and I have not gotten any response from the e-mails I have sent. Can someone help me get in touch with him please?
Thank You, Cliff

Is anyone set up to convert 100 slides to digital and onto a DVD?
A person who helps at our home would like this done without having to make two ferry trips to Duncan Walmart. Walmart charges $18 for this yet keeps the slides for a few days and does the work "at night".
Thanks Curt
