Sylvia Beech has requested to do a "one woman" show at the Deli in November, so now that month is taken. We will be hanging it on October 31, 2013 at 7PM 

Just found out that the Longboard Competition is on for this coming weekend, Sep 7 & 8 up on Juniper Place.   There is an opportunity for some fast photos.

Zoe Grindea, an Israeli Photographer facing school holidays, engaged her children in a project to create one photo a day that will express that day's experience. The children took to it enthusiastically, devising props and contributing ideas.

Just kind of a final reminder that we will be hanging the show at 7:00 PM Saturday (Aug. 31), I need a little help though because I have tried to contact Gregor Alan who is doing the one man show and I have not gotten any response from the e-mails I have sent. Can someone help me get in touch with him please?

Is anyone set up to convert 100 slides to digital and onto a DVD?

A person who helps at our home would like this done without having to make two ferry trips to Duncan Walmart.  Walmart charges $18 for this yet keeps the slides for a few days and does the work "at night".

SaltSpring Photography Club Minutes…

The September slide show theme is Abstraction.

As previously stated, Gregor Alan has reserved the month of September for a "one Man" show so that leaves the month of November to still be scheduled for the remainder of the year. No one has yet come forward but we still have many weeks before that time. I am just reminding everyone that that time is available  and requesting interested parties to contact me byt the first of October, please. 

Pat & Rosemarie Keough will make a special presentation for club members only at the Portlock meeting room on Wednesday, September 25.  This fourth Wednesday of the month.  7:00 PM

This very successful Salt Spring couple have published to high acclaim books of nature photography. Their book Labyrinth Sublime features nature from Seattle to Glacier Bay, Alaska.  It has a $5000 cover price.
