The photo exhibit for the month of May will be by RAchel Page. We will be hanging the images on Wednesday, April 30, at 7:00 PM.I cannot be there this time so I am going to ask Bob Rogers and Doug Mc Millan if they will help Rachel with the hanging.

Most of you remember Tom who moved late last year to Gabriola. You will note that his show is in our events calendar. In my opinion, his work was some of the best in Eclectic Visions each year. His current work uses nature in both abstracts and humor. I am posting these as a taste for your enjoyment. Several members are considering a group trip to Gabriola. Tom's show. Lunch at a great pizzeria. A photo shoot outing. If you are interested, just post a comment that says: YES. Week day…

The SSI Chamber is in the process of purchasing four DVDs (in USB form) from the Club. They are purchasing one for each season.
It is their intent to go through the images to see if they want any of them for their Visitor's Guide. They print 50,000 copies of the guide for wide distribution. Since each club member owns their own images and since the DVD images are not in proper resolution for printing, the Chamber of Commerce (Janet Clouston, manager) will contact you with…

In today's internet world, there are many different photo editing programs. Photoshop has become the common name for all of them. How do they differ? What are their strengths? weaknesses? Some cost more; some are free? Some have more bells and whistles and some are bare bones.
While photo editing program do you use?
Would you enjoy presenting your program to club members at a regular meeting?
Based on conversations at coffee and locales, we thought…

There were over 30 members attending the January meeting, with several new faces in the crowd (none of whose names I got. Welcome anyway!)
Chris Dixon ably chaired the meeting in his new post as Vice President, in Curt's absence.
Avril Kirby shared the results of the first meeting of the Eclectic Visions 2014 committee. Some points she covered:
1. This annual club show in the Artspring Galleries will run from Thurs. June 26 to Monday July 7, over 2 weekends, including…

January is the first month of our 2014 Deli schedule. The schedule will be posted soon, I think but we DO need candidates to hang their images. Please let me know as soon as possible - they have requested that we provide the names of the photograper(s) that are hanging each time in advance of the event so I would need to have time to get that information and get it to them.

The December 11 club meeting will focus on two items before the slide show challenge.
1. Officers elections
2. Where do you want to go in 2014? As the club membership continues to grow, recently there has been a variety of discussions. What changes, if any, should the club make?
Read Doug's forum posting on other clubs in our area.
Answer the question: what changes should the club make or not make? Bring your thoughts to the meeting.
