Speaker Sheldon Boles, on Artificial Intelligence in photography and image making. Registration will be emailed at a later date.

Canadian Landscape Exhibit: Claudia sent out an email recently about the images for the show - which will be shown at the library in March. This will have the medium sized images, around 12 x 18. She would like to showcase the beauty and diversity of Canada's landscapes and Canada as a country. Select 10 images & send to Claudia and Pierre, who is helping with the image selection process for the exhibit.

As this exhibit is in March, we have plenty of time to work on it, but do keep in mind that time goes by fast, so start looking now in your archives for any images that might work for this show.
FALL FAIR
The fall fair was a great this year, although we had few entries. Possibly due to the fact that the fair is the first weekend in September with a holiday Monday. Tuesday was the drop off for photos and there was a mixup with the drop off dates in the catalogue which also was the fact that we had lower entries this year. Photography has usually 250-300 entries this year only 197 photos entered in total.
Thank you to members Marcia, Johanne, and Howard for volunteering your time.
The club gave out a prize for best macro/closeup for youth and the photographer has accepted to be our student to show in Eclectic Visions this May. His name is Greg Evans, He also won the high aggregate trophy.
Gwen put together her notes from last meeting about 'Launching a photo show at the SSI Public Library' and a list of places to put up posters. This will be posted on our website.
The Club has reserved the program room at the library for next year, April through to September - cost is $60 per meeting ($30/hour) We get a discount of 25% if we pay in advance for 6 months. Regular cost is $40 per hour. We paid for 7 nights which includes our December 2024 meeting.
