Eclectic Visions 

If anyone is interested in organizing our annual show please let Judy know.  She will help in assisting this year's show but would love to have someone else take on the organizing - Judy has done it now for 2 years and 1 year helping Kahsia (2022).

BC/Yukon Series 

October 18th, Friday - Speaker Sheldon Boles on Artificial Intelligence in photography and image making.   This is an addition to the regular series. 

Pierre will send an email with the invite.  You must register and mention you are with the Salt Spring Photography Club to get the zoom link.

Club members must individually register in advance of October 18, to obtain the Zoom login link and details. Please share this link with only your current members: Register for Sheldon Boles: Artificial Intelligence in photography, image-making, and competitions

There will be a speaker series this year, dates yet to be announced.

Second update... great news... Jason Duncan has graciously agreed to serve as Chair for the 2024-25 BC/Yukon Inter-Club Speaker Series! Jason is CAPA Pacific Zone Director, and is taking on this role as a ‘side hustle’. He anticipates that following Sheldon Boles’ presentation on October 18^th, there will be three more presentations, likely in January to May 2025.

This is good news for our club members to join in on more speaker series.

January ArtSpring Lobby Show 

Lobby Show Update – The January ArtSpring Lobby Show will be hung on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 starting at 10 am.  The takedown date is still to be

determined but will be around the end of January.  There is no charge to Photographers to exhibit in the show. Please let Wendy (wrosier@gmail.com) know if you plan to enter the show. Titles and information will be needed by Dec 28, 2024.  More information will be sent out shortly.

Last month Judy watched a talk with Edward Burtynsky - most of the talk was on his print shop in Toronto.  Similar to Posterjack.    His print shop is called Toronto Image Works and website is https://www.torontoimageworks.com/
