UPCOMING EDUCATIONAL EVENTS: If you have some suggestions about what you would like to hear and/or see about --- let us know… If you have resource people in mind that would be great too…. One thing about our Club is does seem that we are a Learning Machine and willing to take on anything… just to see what it is and how it works… and that is wonderful to be a part of… and it is FUN There were examples of Scanned images carefully constructed, layering, surreal constructions, musical whimsy, touching biographies and a little father/son therapy… It was amazing to see what was produced --- look on the website to review it… Doug has put up the February show…. Well done all and thanks Gregg for the inspiration… you have opened a new world for us… and it is great fun to Play in…
EVENING’S EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT…. Bob Rodgers did a wonderful presentation on “ What Now ” basically he was discussing --- now that you have taken the picture what the hell do you do with it … Bob ran through the whole process from downloading from the camera and all the options available there… backing up and all those options which was a relevance to many of us… storage of images in various locations, real and out there in the Clouds… He also talked about the importance of a developing a system of filing, naming conventions, tagging --- so you can find the images when you want them… It was a very useful session for us and he presented in a way that most people could understand…. Which was nice… Thanks Bob from this techno peasant ( and proud of I t) it was Great !!!! Now can you come over to my house and make it happen on my machine do all that…???
EVENING’S MEMBER’S SLIDE SHOW – “ Constructed Images “ well we certainly had fun with that challenge… it was an evening of wonderfully imaginative images, with lovely tales behind them… Well done all
