My secret tonight in getting two shots in our site was to put the first one in about 5 minutes to midnight and the second one in about 5 minutes after. I still need to witness someone do it the other way.

Tomorrow should be another day for photo ops in the harbor - don't miss it!

Opening reception at the Gallery in Grace Point from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM tonight.

Friday August 31 at 7:000 PM is the time I have scheduled to take down the images that we have there. Since I have another commitment I have managed to contact Anna who will handle the removal. Elehna had contacted me because her group is going to hang their show as soon as we remove ours. Anna had already contacted Elehna and arrangements will be going forth as planned and I expect it will be a smooth transition.

Margaret Benmore had a last minute family issue and was not at the meeting.  No real minutes this month.  I am leaving for 10 days early in the AM and am a shity secretary.

Well my panic over losing my hotmail has subsided and they have restored it in its entirety.

It is now back to  gykelly2@hotmail.com for anyone to use.

Our library has put out the call for artists and that includes photographers to have their work purchased by and hung in the new library.  This is a competitive opportunity for Salt Springers.  Submissions must be made by September 14 and the final art piece must be ready by Oct. 29.

Well the first request I made had disappointing results - so lets try something else!

Anyone interested in going on a photo shoot to the raptor center this summer please e-mail me and let me know when you will be available to attend. Once I  get a list of interested persons and available dates then I can begin to formulate a plan. (Even if its just me and one other person). I think it should be before November.

We are scheduled to show our images at Country Grocer in the Month of August. Anna McColm has requested to show three images so there are still spaces for three more. Please let me know of others that are interested.The hanging will be done on Tuesday evening the 31st of July at 7:00 PM. 

I am tyring to organize  photo shoot at the Raptor center in Duncan. WIll the interested parties either mail or contact me throught our site here so I can start. Hopefull it will be within the next two weeks so I really need to have some names. Details will follow shortly but week days or weekends will be an important factor.

The SS Photo Club has received an announcement of the Photo Workshop & camping outing near Kamloops.  End of August.  $395.

Mr. Benson has confirmed our Sunday Photo Shoot of his Mini Train Display. The times will be the same as last week - meet at Moby's parking lot at 12:30 PM and then proceed to is facility. Car pooling would probably make things more convenient, and will the people who are still interested e-mail me to re-confirm their presence.
