Of approximately 50 images entered, 10 pieces sold for a total of $3012 ... our most financially successful show yet.  Total attendance approximately 980 people.

Hello Everyone. The preliminary results from the survey shows that there is an overwhelming interest in Macro photography. On that note, the location for next Mondays shoot "AFTER" coffee is at Salt Spring Seeds, in the Cranberry. Can discuss car pooling at coffee. Please let me know your response so that I can let Dan know how many to expect.

As the Monday morning shoots have not been overly popular, I'd like to switch gears and suggest that we go for a shoot after Monday Coffee/Breakfast at Penny's. How on that? 

The suggestion for this week is to Carpool from the Golf Club and go to Sacred Mountain Lavender which is open to the public. Obviously lots of flowers to shoot and I understand that there are several trails with good birding. 401 Musgrave Road, Salt Spring Island

[I  have always sat our eclectic vision shows as often as I could and even asked to be "on call" if someone could not make it, Sadly I will have to vacate the times I had signed up for this year because I have another commitment with my wife who is seriously ill. I thought I had mentioned this to Wendy and Jana but perhaps they did not understand what I was saying. A thousand pardons and I hope there will be coverages in my absence. Just a reminder for anyone that has missed it - tomorrrow is  the day for the  "Around the island yacht race held annually here. Great photo ops at any beach or dock around the island - looks like nice weather so a great opporunity for all shutterbugs.

To those of you unaware and have your eye on a shiny new piece of equipment, be warned that prices in Canada are due to increase up to 30% April 1st, following the low dollar.

Mint condition; has taken under 500 pictures. Upgraded to FX soon after buying so didn’t get much use.
