Shortly after I arrived here a very prominent club/association of artists - who had been quite active and supportive to the community - just kind of folded up and ceased to exist. I thought it  was very sad and really a shame but the underlying cause was that there was no more ability within the group to accomplish the very necessary administrative tasks required to keep any organization - any "group" of people - functioning together. I was recently polled to see if I would be interested in serving in some capacity of usefulness in our club and I had to say no because of my own personal circumstances - but I don't want to be counted out!.

Although I really cannot serve in any "official capacity" because of health, family requirements and my total capacity to serve - and I have spent a Lifetime of "serving" - I will be happy to assist any of the various "serving" officers and I know that an "administrative aide" can be as helpful and contributing to the success of the position of any of the club leaders as any good assistant could. Sometimes it is very supportive to know that someone is there to "handle the load" and to keep any one responsibility from becoming "too much" and in the beginning I heard that one of the elements of club membership was not to have it become a rigid and "regulation bound" entity - allowing total freedom of membership to practise their craft. I think that that is how it is being handled but the added incease in membership just creates the need for a little more formal organizational routine in order for us to keep the membership active, happy, informed, and confident that whatever small administrative routine must occur to keep us altogether exists. We are lucky in the quality of our membership and the cohesiveness they display in our very flexible routines.

If any of the persons that have accepted some of the controlling responsibilities of the club's routines would like asny assistance in the performance of their required tasks please call on me. I can drive, mail, produce documents and notifications, provide "second opinion" thinking on routine tasks, etc.

Cliff, Your volunteering to help with your time and abilities is what makes our club special.  You have opened up your home for photo shots, you are always part of Monday coffees and we know that you will be always contributing.

You also have two excellent photos on display at the Lobby Show.

Well said, Cliff. I'm sure there are a lot of us who feel the same way.  But it's nice to know who is willing to help.
