I am entering this as a blog because I don't want to appear as someone who is losing their interest in our club. For many years I have participated in as many activities of our club as I could manage but current events are curtailing my attendance - not my participation in some areas, but I am currently unable to attend meetings and breakfasts and other opportunities. I value my membership and my association with all of the fine photographers I have become acquainted with and I continue to take photos daily because I live in a place the requires that!

I had occasion some years ago to communicate with a wildlife photographer on the east coast to verify something and he said he really envied us here because of our ability to photograph the Great Blue Heron.

It was truly an unsolicited comment but just an example that things we take for granted every day could be envied by outsiders that are not as fortunate as we. (He has often opportunities to photograph the big horned Mountain Goat - I have not had that opportunity here yet).

All the best to you, Cliff. We miss you at Monday coffee! Life just throws you twists sometimes, doesn't it. We'll have to import a Big Horn to the island just for you.

Thank you Avril,

It isn't so much  hearing as mobility. Some things change though so we will see how it goes.

We do miss you Cliff!  Your absence has been felt deeply - especially this last Monday when circumstances had me at Penny's way before everyone else and having breakfast at the head of the table.  Please let us know if you need anything....Big Horned Sheep and Mountain Goats included :-)
