Pierre presided and welcomed 3 members of Photosynthesis to the meeting - Amy Melious, Alane Lalonde and Kristina Heineman. Lois introduced her husband Ted to the Club.

We ate, drank and chatted and then held a short meeting followed by a slide show of our 'Wildlife in our backyard' photos.

Wendy addressed the January Lobby Show at Artspring. The show will be hung on Monday January 6th. Bring your photos to Artspring that day between 9.30am - 11am. Two photos per person as there is less wall space available to us this year. There will be a $5 charge (per person, not per photo) and you can bring the money when you drop off your photos. Hanging helpers are welcome.

Please give your photo info to Wendy by January 3rd so she has time to print them; Name of photo, name of photographer, price and contact info - ie. an email address. There is a blog on the website where you can send this info to Wendy.

Elections for next years Executive committee will take place at the January Club meeting. Currently the committee's positions are held by:

                                                             Pierre - President

                                                             Avril  - Vice President

                                                             Pat Page - Treasurer

                                                             Wendy - Webmaster

                                                             Derek - Projectionist

                                                             Anna - secretary

If anyone who would like to take any of these positions please speak up at next month's meeting and let Pierre or Avril know. Pierre.mineau2@gmail.com and avek@telus.net

Membership fees will also be due at the January meeting.

The club needs help finding speakers for the meetings and is asking members to think of anyone they might know who could present something interesting to the club and then ask that person if they would be willing to come and talk to us.

Some ideas to consider are; A talk on cameras, some technical aspect of photography, a talk about another photographer (someone dead, perhaps, like Ansel Adams). Consider sharing the time (30 - 45 minutes) with one or two other people to present and talk about your own work. The travellers in the group could suggest a place (we featured Venice once in this format) and show photographs taken there - this could be a group effort.

Uri is going to look into a presentation about drone photography and the ever changing laws and restrictions around drones.

The theme for next month's meeting is Night Photography, in keeping with the time of year and long nights (now getting incrementally shorter!)
