Budget 2017 discussion:
The Executive committee presented a proposed budget for 2017. Dues will increase from $20 to $30 annually. These are payable in January; checks can be left at Apple Photo. The budget for advertising is reduced to $500 this year in an effort to cut costs for Eclectic Visions. Bob moved, Bernadette seconded that the budget be approved as presented. Passed.
Potential new gallery space at the Roasting Company: Ross McLeod obtained permission from his brother, Micky, for the photo club to use the exit walls at the back of the Roasting Company for gallery space. We would need to obtain a liability waiver, buy and install the hanging rail. Larry Citra offered to donate the rail. Members would need to sign up for space.
Idea floated for an annual “Garage Sale” of photos that members would like to sell.
Election of officers for 2017:
Wendy presented a slate of officers for the coming year:
President – Wendy Rosier willing to serve for one more year (only!)
Vice President – Avril Kirby
Secretary – duties will be shared by Gwen McDonald, Margaret Benmore
and Colleen Barnes Horel
Treasurer – Pat Page
Slate approved by acclamation.
Additional positions appointed as follows:
Education Committee chair – Ross McLeod
Advertising – Maggie Argiro
Eclectic Visions – Jana Zachariou
Webmaster – Wendy Rosier
The monthly Education presentation was replaced with Holiday festivities.
The slide show was a delightful potpourri of “Festive” and “Underwater” images
Next month’s theme will be “Travel”
Respectfully submitted,Gwen McDonald
The PARTY was great
Thanks Gwen!
