The moon was rising over a valley and the bottom had not quite cleared the horizon so the images at the bottom are fir trees of some sort I think. I am extremely fortunate in that my wifes son Paul has a friend who owns a very nice small home on the top of Tuam. It is in a very prominent place and  the owner even leases space for electronic equipment for the Victoria airport in their traffic  monitoring system. I was able to sit in the house for some of the time I was shooting and I had my camera set up on a tripod on the front patio and go out to take the shots at intervals. It was cold but I only went out at intervals as I said and managed my frost iute as I could. I will post some additional images in he next few days to share the sights with the club. Actually Single Malt is a wonderful companion on outings like this.  The  borders were an oversight.

Wonderful yellow moon. I like the house lights below.

I hope you were warm, Cliff, during your long stint on Tuam..waiting patiently for the sunset and then the glorious moon-rise.You have some great shots to show for it all and to share with us.

Amazing, Cliff--like a lemon or an exotic bird egg. It dwarfs the tiny lights below which are perfect for this shot.  Is that the top of an island or mountains that give it that rough edge at the bottom? A suggestion of something unseen.
