Showing off his winter coat
I have images that show these animals as almost blending in with the grass that you see but now their coats have thickened and darkened for the upcoming cold season. Another afernoon visitor.

Fortunately we are not overrun with bunnies. We do have a rather predatorical cat (old blue eyes) that has replaced other rodents as number one on his list with small rabbits. Although I have not seen them the results are evident because we only see a rabbit or two once in a while when other islanders report a significant count.

I counted an even dozen when we came home the other day,in and around the garden and grass and under the apple tree where the birds spill their seeds. There used to be 5 regulars but somehow... Have you got a heap (or a hop?) at your place, Cliff?
