This another of my "Panic"series that shows the Swan in a fenzy to chase Canadian Geese that were infringing on his feeding area.

Maggie seems t have caught one element that cannot be photographed. In each of these Panic shots the swan is NOT taking off to fly. The swan chases its target from about three feet above the water and the unseen element is the loud report of its wings hitting the water - some of which causes the splashing seen in its wake. It is really a terrible attack with the combnation of the swans formidable body -- noisily hurtling to its target.

Really nice. The action, the noise, the tension -- it's all there, all recorded. I can't stop looking at the reflection of the swan either. Lots to keep my eye moving and resting, moving and resting....very nice.

I'm imagining those feet running like crazy before take-off - I guess the wing span helps :)

You have a lot of drama in your cove, don't you, Cliff? Another neat one.
