Quite a sight to see all these feathers like the flaps of an airplane landing.

When I first joined the club I gave out some of my cards but never got any feedback - it is designed for me by my grandson who lives in Victoria. There is a reference in it that interssted persons could contact me for o\phtot info but my main purpose was to share with any interested parties my collection of omages. My main focus is the bird life her on the islands and then any and all animal life. After geting it set up I decided to add some local color about many island activities so it is really a work in progress. I have many additions yet to enter, but my club activities have also kept me busy so my web site is just what it is and I try to work on it as I can. The address is : http://www.cliffkellyphotography.com and I invite all interested persons to view it.

Wendy, we used to live ina cottage - here on the property - that has a deck that juts right out over the water in Churchill Cove when the tide is in. The area was a gathering place for water birds - All manner of ducks, Canadian Geese, Mute Swans, etc. and I wqaas right in the middle of that environment. We could look straight down on them as they fed, cared for their young and displayed various behaviour patterns that are common to them. I did a photo study for the Vancouver Water Bird society that included 28 pages of Swan activity and three pages of dialogue. Yhe water was about 18 feet below the deck at mid-tide so it was sometimes closer and sometimes a little farther. I have a ver nice collection of waterbirds on my website.

That grey green is nice with the white and the splash of orange in the beak is a good focal point. Good capture Cliff. I like the contrast, too, of the froth with the circular ripples in the water.
