I was inspired yesterday to do this variation on a portrait of my father by Doug's thoughts on spring, and fertility myths other than bunnies and daffodils, (which I have a fondness for.) I find this character compelling and a bit dreadful.

Spiritual and haunting - delicate treatment of your overlays - fine portrait and your usual sensitive treatment of this type of subject. Bunnies and Daffodils aren't so bad.

Spooky! Very nice.

I love how you've used the greenery to mark out the features of his face, like a mask. Rather phantom of the opera-ish, --a clever and thoughtful portrait.

I keep looking for Henri Rousseau's signature.  Not dreadful, but enigmatic.

I guess I meant the character in myth being dreadful - not this image of my dad :)
