1/6s, 380mm, ~3000 ISO
Parking at home after work I heard a faint owl call, so I ran to grab the camera from inside and with the evening light quickly fading came back to pull the tripod out of the trunk and begin setting up. Taking note of many nearby robins calling out in unique alarm I asked out loud, "Do you know where the owl is?" A moment later this small Barred let out a low shriek from 6 feet behind me at eye level, staring curiously as I fumbled with camera settings half awestruck.
