I just recently got my Canon 80D camera and I found that there is a lot to know about it. This is my first DSLR, though I did have a Canon AE-1 (showing my age) that I used up until the mid 90's and I still own it. I started a 365 project where I post a photo a day and I have become very passionate about it. I've been told that you only get better by taking 1000's of photos. Well, this is what I've been doing this year and I have found that I have improved. I'm loving the journey and I look forward to meeting new people and learning more about this amazing little black box with a hole in the middle.

Stunning images Kahsia! It's apparent you've got a really good handle on "the amazing little black box with a hold in the middle"
Nice to meet you, too! Hope you enjoy the club.
cheers, Avril
Hi Kahsia,
Welcome to the SaltSpring Photography Club! We are so pleased to have you as a member!
Here is a bit of information about the Club - a lot of which you may already know but for your future reference; we meet monthly at The Crofton Room at Harbour House on the 2nd Wednesday of the month and it starts at 7 pm. The meeting usually has a few minutes of club related issues followed by a short presentation on technical issues. This is followed by a a critique session based on photos taken by club members on a theme decided upon at the previous months meeting. (This month’s Challenge is Black & White - described at the top of the websites home page.) We also have an informal weekly coffee gatherings at the Currently at Penny's Pantry at the Golf Course - 10am Monday mornings.
Feel free to post a blog, start a discussion on the forum or post images for critique.
In the interest of view-ability the club limits the posting of one photo per day. If you have a series of images, post the first one in photos and then place the others in comments.
All photos posted to an album will also appear on the main page, so do add one image a day to your albums.
Thanks for joining and I hope that it proves useful to you. Don't forget to wade in on the critique, and post your two-bits worth of commentary on others photos.
