Raptor Center Photo Shoot on May 21, 2012.
I have put together a plan for a Photo shoot at the Raptor center in Duncan on Monday, May 21, 2012.
We will meet at the Vesuvius Ferry at 9:30 AM on that day in our car pool transportation.(This is different from my original idea, but we should arrive at the Raptor center by 10:45 so my original idea of meeting at Harbor House at 10:00 AM is not valid because we could not make the right ferry – the 10:15 AM).
The 10:45 arrival time is because if we wanted to have a special guided tour with a guide that explains all the information about the raptors there and takes us to each individual cage to do this . The charge for this tour is $100.00 but divided amongst the club members it would be $100.00 divided by the members present and I have about 10 names and that would make the charge $10.00 per person.
The entrance charge for the regular routine events is $14.00 per person and $12.00 for seniors. Parking is at the entrance and there is one washroom in the entrance itself. The other expense will be the ferry fee and since it is a holiday (Victoria Day) seniors will not be exempt from the ferry fee.
I anyone knows of additional information I could have provided please let me know.
The names of the people requesting to attend are:
Cliff Kelly Heather Webb
Pat (Heather’s Friend) Avril Kirby
Dale Storm Pat Page
AJ AJ’s Friend
Rachel Fifi
Curt Firestone Tinny Gibbon
More interested members may join the list but I have to let them know how many are going to attend the private tour so please let me know soon.
The final and highly important step is to arrange for car pooling. I can take three others with me and we need several more drivers, obviously so please be in contact with me so I can let everyone else know what the arrangements will be.
PLEASE WATCH THE EVENTS PAGE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION!
Didn't realize this is off-island
We did talk about it a bit.Question was asked about which lens would be recommended. For those with several sizes I would recommend medium zooms or long zoom (for those interested in very close ups)but movement will occur so tripod work could be optional - otherwise normal lenses should do fine.
I may bring a friend and we will likely ride over on our motorcycles.
