These three Snow geese have dropped in on Salt Spring on their way up north to their breeding grounds.
They appear to favour the wetland habitat in the field opposite the junction of Sunset Drive, North End Rd, and South Point Rd.
Any time now, they will leave to continue their journey North.
Snow geese rarely visit Salt Spring so this is a rare opportunity to capture them in our 'backyard'.

thanks, Simon.
I saw one white goose in with a flock of Canada geese on the pond farm over the winter. I'm not sure that it had black on it, though. Wonderful shots.
