12"-24" wide:   2 pieces

No piece should be higher than 36" due to lack of space and the fact that we're hanging a la gallery (all over the walls) this year.

SHOW HANGING: Images will be hung this year by Razali, the owner of Gallery 8, in the same style as the rest of the gallery.  Any work that needs to be hung in an arrangement must be specified in advance.  This will be considered by the show hanger and the hanger's decision is final.

IMAGE PREPARATION: Images must be properly framed.  Mats are at your discretion.  The hanging wire shall not be visible above the top edge of the frame.  The top of the wire must be 1" below the top edge of the frame (not lower or higher).  Metal hooks with teeth on the back of the image and frame which rest upon a nail are not allowed.  Please tape wire ends for about an inch to preclude sharp ends and damage.

Each image's back shall have a label which indicates the image's title and the photographer's name.  Additional information is at the discretion of the photographer.  Please place a post-it note on the glass with your name and the name of the image. We will have these to fill out when you check in.

SHRINK WRAPS:  Each participant may have up to 3 plastic shrink wraps of their framed photos or any other photos for sale.  They will be displayed and as one sells, another may replace it.

CARDS/BOOKS:  Each participant may have up to 20 cards for sale and a total of 3 photo-books.  As one sells, it may be replaced with another.

NUMBERING SYSTEM:  You will be given numbers specific to you and your work to put on the back labels of your shrink wraps, cards and books.  These will aid in sales and accounting.

BIOGRAPHY:  Please submit your photographer bio on one 8X10 page to Avril by June 1.  The page may include your photo if you wish.  There will be a biography binder book at the show for all visitors to peruse.  Information on the wall images you're showing is encouraged.

Thanks Curt--I'll get Wendy to help.

I can open the linked file successfully, using both Firefox and Safari. For those who cannot, I am reproducing the file in its entirety below:

Thank you, Doug & Avril.

Avril, I would recommend that you sometime cut and paste my last reply into the top part of this discussion (replacing the link). Then you will be able to update it as needed.

Thanks Doug!

Avril;

Would you define "properly framed."

I prefer to exhibit my photos without glass and without an external frame. In the past this has been acceptable.

Thanks,

Bob

I guess that I need an answer to this also.

Thanks

Curt

Hi Bob (and Curt),  By properly framed I just mean that it has a wire across the back by which it can be safely suspended, at 1 inch below the top bit of whatever you've got your image on--metal or wood or whatever you have planned.  That help?   Avril

I guessed that is what you meant.

Thanks Avril

Bob
