Where's The Tuning Fork?
Many years ago - the last time I had a Piano tuned - it was done by a professional tuner who had to be a person who had "Perfect Pitch" - and he use a "Tuning Fork" to assist him. Now - As with everything else - that process has been replaced with a mini-computer that gauges tone.

***I stand corrected. The Piano Tuner told my wife that she "FINE TUNES"' the piano by ear after she does :initial" tuning by the computer - it is still the demise ofo the old fashioned "Tuning Fork"1.
