It looks like the cathedral is made out of glass.

Actually, Anna, I tried cropping them out but decided I liked the expansiveness of the whole thing and I don't know how I could have taken the light circles out. Don't think it would have worked just to erase them and cloning would have taken more work than I was willing to invest in it!

I like your crop although I'm surprised you didn't get rid of the light reflections on the front pillars. You have your reasons, I'm sure, as you're very thoughtful about your choices. The original also has amazing qualities of light with that surprising blue.
