Scanned from a slide. Aptly named Rainbow Bay is about 200 kilometres north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The bay is named for the high coloured coastal sand dunes, the colours formed by various minerals that have infiltrated the silica sand.

I was going to comment on the small dog on the beach but it turned out to be dirt on my screen. Lovely photo with the rainbow spanning the entire width and creating its own frame for the dunes and skim of water over the sand.
