Thanks Doug and Avril. In answer to your question Avril, I generally do a little post-capture work in Lightroom, most often limited to just the basics eg. adjustments using the sliders in Tone and bumping up the clarity a wee bit in addition to a very slight adjustment in vibrance and saturation. I used a filter in this image to accentuate the effects of the sunset. I also lean pretty heavily on my in-camera histogram;-)
The exposure is perfect everywhere. Do you work a lot on your images afterwards or is the D600 good at compensating for dark and bright areas? Like these explorations you're taking us on.
