Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and kind thoughts I've received from all of you. The orchid is simply beautiful.  Bill died in Greenwoods, receiving the most wonderful care, with me there, on my birthday (just so I wouldn't forget the date, I'm sure).  That was Bill, bless his heart.
