Thus little guy is so shy. I had to act quickly. I think it may be a bit blurry.

all good to hear. those kingfishers are so fast! good for you and the Oly 4/3.
Sounds like an interesting club, Trudy.
Doug I was just getting used to my new camera the Olympus OMD EM-1 micro 4/3
We are very social. There are education nights the second Wednesday of the month that now includes members photo telling a story and members slide of photos they want to share. The member has to talk about these photos. It seems to have a good effect as the members get to know each other better. The Fourth Wednesday meeting is the Competition and Challenge. The Competition winner gets a 16X20 frame and matt with a gift certificate from London Drugs for a print. The First, Second and Third winners tell about the photo they entered. The Challenge is a small prize and all names go into a draw.
Good to know your club offers you those options Trudy. Victoria club also has active special interest groups and regular field trips but Salt Spring has still opted to remain more casual/social than be structured.
There is a new emerging group who get together early Monday mornings to go on a 'shoot' together, so I hope that will develop over time.
My Camera was set to S1/1600 ISO 1250 F11 300mm
I think I have a problem with my computer too. My colours come out different some times.
I looked at it again and I will have to lighten it in Light room.
Yes it is fab. I am very busy with the camera club here. We go on field trips a lot, up and down the Island. I also belong to two SIG (Special Interest Groups) The Available light and Nature and Landscape. It is a lot of fun when you have a small group of 10 to 12 with the same interest.
Thank you both.
Good to hear from you Trudy, hope all is well 'up-island'.
Good catch, and they are hard to, aren't they?
