Apparently a visitor has recently shown up here from WA who got tired of all the coronavirus madness there and decided to visit Salt Spring to get away from it! I immediately thought of this event, which of course took place repeatedly up and down the Coast in the mid-19th C. and decimated the indigenous populations. So now you gotta wonder, is it our turn?.. Nice image, tho.
