Played with the background and just settled for what I got. The main focus is the bloom, anyway.

Well Joanne, I'm afraid I'm the "old Fogey" of the group because I don't use "Raw" and I don't use photoshop - mostly because I was broken in on Paint Shop Pro, Corel, Painter 5.5 (before it was taken over by Corel) and now Nikon's Capture NX2. I meet all my needs with these programs, but I strongly recommend that you follow through with Your Photoshop installation in your new computer and really explore the use of raw processing - you will probably be very happy with it.

It makes me think of coming upon a perfect flower in the garden and standing there looking at it in awe :)

The read is especially beautiful and natural Cliff ~ is this because you took the photo in 'raw' format?

What a perfect rose Cliff! Red is so hard to capture well and this is magnificent. Well Done!
