The photo was taken on Crete, where they clearly don't have a surplus of timber.  It's a wonderful place for colour and texture, and the buildings are often weathered - showing decades of patching and repainting.   Not a throwaway culture.

The textures and the divisions, and the colours, in this are wonderful. And the title is great.
