I found this Heron in the Little River in front of my home.
I had to be very quiet because he was moving every time I made a slight noise.

Patience rewarded, Trudy. And I agree with Anna about the lovely river and the grass in front. Now I can see why they're called Great Blue Herons.
Wow! So many colours in the river shot. The green algae shows his shape and colour well and I like the reflection too. I might have cropped away the frontal blurry grass.
