Monthly slideshow

I am thinking it would be really nice if we could review the last meeting's slide show on the website.   Also, those who are unable to attend the meeting miss out on some fabulous photos and comments, etc.   We do only have a short time to view them, and then they disappear forever!

 

Perhaps there is a way to upload them, even if it is just the images from the last monthly meeting, replacing those from the previous month (if that makes sense!).  Maybe there could be a way to make them only available to members, as a perc.

 

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

I had thought of posting them and have kept them safe in their own folder for that reason. I was a little concerned that one or two members would want to abstain, but I didn't feel like asking each individual separately.

I would like to hear the opinions of those members who participated in the show. Privacy is not hard to guarantee; in a blog, I can specify 'for members only'.

Further to privacy: As is, I can only restrict a blog's visibility to my 'Friends', not the club. With Ernie's help, the club-only restriction may still be possible. Is this true, Ernie?

Does it even matter? Anyone?

(NB. In absence of objections, I may just do it, post the entire meeting's 'slide show' in a blog.)

Privacy? 

We have images on the web and participants at a meeting -- what privacy? 

I'm being a bit cheeky, but my vote is to just do it.

Doug,  Sounds like a very good idea.  Maybe you could work with Ernie and see if we could have a members only section of the website for members to review the photos.  Might even end up that if you wish to comment on a photo that you have to send an email instead of commenting on the site.

I am in favour, as I never am able to attend the meeting it would be nice to be able to see what is shared and discussed.  It also allows those who cannot attend the slideshow meeting to send in photographs for critique and constructive comments in thsi format.  I like the idea.  thanks
