Isabelle Groc is a freelance environmental writer and wildlife photographer based in Vancouver.  She also spends a considerable amount of time on Salt Spring Island as a place of escape with her partner.

Isabelle’s articles and photographs have appeared in publications such as Canadian Wildlife, Canadian Geographic, BC Magazine and National Geographic and many, many more.

In her photography, Isabelle is interested in conveying a sense of intimacy and connection with the animals.  She often focuses on unusual details of species or offers extreme close-ups.  Her work has inspired audiences to take action for wildlife conservation and habitat protection.
