This month's theme/challenge is "Decrepitude"
These words were suggested at our last meeting: old, antique, broken, derelict, wrecked...
To avoid repeating our theme of several months ago, namely, "The Still Living Past", I suggest we emphasize the derelict and wrecked, things that are not still living, nor necessarily from the past. Things that are by-products of our disposable culture, things that are shoddy to begin with, things that have prematurely met with grief.
Things that need to be replaced as soon as possible, if possible. Or thrown out or cleaned up. Dilapidated. Had an accident lately? That puddle of oil on the ground might have hidden away in it a perverse beauty.
