Doug and others: This is from the same Jose Clemente Orozco mural as the Father Hidalgo photo which I posted two days ago.  It is located over a grand stairwell leading from the central courtyard in the second floor.  The area in covered but outside.  Mexican civic buildings in major cities are known for their murals which depict its history.  There were a few very famous artists of which Orozco is one.  And yes, the painting is much larger than life itself.

Strange seeing the brush strokes that would usually be seen at a distance, no doubt, up close and personal.  Interesting colour combinations and shadows.
