It's the field in front of the High School.

Doug, your comment about a burden accepted or at least tolerated is spot-on for this person who deals with constant back pain but keeps moving regardless.

Anna, This is exceptional.

The ragged leaves are perfect counterpoint to the regularly-checkerboarded coat. The forward lean of the subject suggests a burden accepted, or at least tolerated, and the stairway without a beginning speaks to many of our personal experiences: 'How did this all begin? - Oh, well.'

Always forward. Even if Sisyphean.
