Critique welcomed. I have highly cropped the original, changed it to B&W and made some contrast adjustments to strengthen the depth. It was shot at sunrise from our terrace.

I am more intrigued by the black and white. For me it shows the delight in the individual elements and the play of light on them - exaggerated perhaps by your processing. (I have a sort of crude plug-in called ultralux which I am wont to abuse, and which this looks like).  I definitely think this sort of thing is worth exploring even if you decide it is not your cup of tea. By the way you are missing some splendid weather: silver light, early darkness, mouthfuls of mist, and the occasional alien shaft of light.

Thank you.  Not one piece of editing was done to the color photo except making a re-sized Jpeg file.

I like them both.  The shadows on the hills are great in the b&w and I like your crop but it seems to need that brilliant light and colour to express Mexico. If you leave Mexico out of the equation though, it's a fine photo.
