It's so reassuring to see the skills not lost completely... I always wonder at the skill, the craft, the history and the pride in carrying on a tradition steeped in such history... cheers... MCB
His head is quite pointy too.
Don't you love the pointy toed shoes, well polished.... Turkish shoes traditional are very pointed and have maintained that.... and there are zillion shoe polishers working their trade in the shoes.. so everyone has very well polished shoes.... Glad you like the series... Cheers... MCB
Yes, I love them both too. How I wish people would sit around on chairs outside their stores in Ganges! And the cobblestone roads and the undulating sidewalks.....my soul yearns for some Europe.
I love them both. They are a great capture of people just living their lives.
Love this one Margaret! Even to the strange little Turkish thought bubbles coming out of his head. Love the light, the shadows, the posture, the green chair...
and so contemporary in his sneakers, jeans and hoodie. and youth. you would expect the mending to be done by an older man in a worn but slightly too tight tweed jacket. one of many layers. so interesting.
Another good one in your collection of odd offices. I like the little details in this one, the red threads, the blue runners, the pink cone and the slouching smoker. Neat, Margaret.
