I agree with Anna and Doug.  Too many images are safe and easy (including practically all of my own, I might add) and this sort of image uses photography as a powerful tool to pull at the emotions and actually say something. "I'm here...SEE me!"

Boy-he needs a fashion consultant! I was thinking about all the comments last night and I too think that if this photo makes you uncomfortable and is somewhat unsettling then that makes it a powerful photo...something that challenges the viewer.

my very first shot of him, which I didn't show him.  He was enormously proud of his red purse, and when we talked he kept stroking it.  Actually it was beginning to look a  bit worn.
