Wendy - I use telephoto lenses a lot. This one was from "regular" 18 - 105 Nikon that is the lens I have on all the time - unless I want some other view. This fir tree is in my back yard and is about 50 feet from the house and 100 feet tall I had a circular polarizing lens on because the sun was above and to the left of it and it muted the glare.
