thank you all for your comments... I thought just for comparison I would show you the originals...  in Blk&Wht it is a completely different story with the emphasis on shape... interesting exercise...  I think you are right Anna it would make a very interesting challenge...

This would make a good photoclub challenge. Two photos of the same subject but with very different feels to them. I like both of these.

I like the light and the reflection on the ball in #1 but #2 grabs me more.
