I had the honor of being in an Atomic lab at UC Berkeley in February. This is one part of the lab that took over a year to build by a PhD candidate friend.

Dale,  It is large.  If I would quess, It takes up a cube in the range of 50'x50'x8'.

As a non-scientist, I was in a different world.  And it was great to see students doing basic research.  My friend is a Cal Tech grad.
