BC/Yukon Series Update:  January 13 - Doug Johnson on Exploring Your Subject,  February 24 - Dianne Bos - Alternative Photography Techniques, April 14 Craig Blacklock - Light Waves

Our club is hosting the April series and we share a slideshow of our best photographs from the club before the series begins and during intermission.  Zoom will say it starts at 7pm but you can go on before that time and watch the slideshow.  The speaker comes on at 7:00pm.  Pierre will be collecting the photographs before March 1st.  He will be organizing our slideshow for that event and will be sending reminders as we get close to the date.  Please set aside at least 6 of your favourite and best photographs to send to Pierre by that date.  pierre.mineau2@gmail.com

Memberships are due now:  Please send by E-transfer annual fee $30 to Patricia Page  patssi@shaw.ca or contact her for alternate way of payment.

Guild Show Update:  May 24th - 28th at Mahon Hall with 6 guilds - Pottery, Printmakers, Textiles, Basketry, Woodworkers and Photography guilds.

Our meeting is on the 18th this month.   We have 12 members signed up so far.  If anyone is interested that hasn't contacted me, there is still room.  jhmcphee@shaw.ca

Eclectic Visions:  I will be meeting with Razali of Gallery8 and have the contract signed in January, we may change our meeting that month to June 7th, so we can meet and discuss our work that is hanging in the show.  PLUS May - in-person meeting at the library will have a slideshow showing the images we are exhibiting and for those that can't make both meetings.  We will also go through the logistics for sitting the show.  I will be sending another email out to ask for volunteers to help with the planning stages of this annual show.

February Slideshow Theme:  Telling stories through photographs which our 'Creative Live lesson' will be 'Mastering Composition and Story Telling'

Every photo tells a story, but this time we can talk about the image and what story it tells.  send images to Avril  avek@telus.net   a reminder will be sent.

New place to show photography:  The club was contacted by the owner of 'Harvest Moon Cannabis Store' (next to Country Grocer office) looking for artists to sign up for displaying their work for a month at a time.  They currently have artists for January and March but need more to sign up.  For more information contact Mike Burd mike@harvestmooncannabis.ca.

ArtSpring Lobby show:  Please pick up your photography on January 31 at 10am

Meetings on Zoom:  Some of you have been experiencing a difficult time signing in to the zoom meetings.  Make sure your zoom app is updated before signing in. We hope that we won't have too many difficulties in the future - technology is wonderful when it works.  Thanks for being patient. 

Future Meetings: February and March will be on Zoom and hope to have the spring and summer months in-person at the Library back to our regular time 7-9pm. 

In March we have Marc Koegel doing a presentation  -  he is a photographer based in Vancouver and does many photo workshops.  There is a short meet the photographer on his about page.
