Hi Wendy and Fellow PhotoClub Members, 

It has now been about 5 years since I last showed any work, or even made a serious attempt to create some. Inspiration has flown, the Muse has left the building. In the meantime, my camera gear has been sitting idle in its bag. I took it out a couple of weeks ago to photograph a visiting moth up close and personal, but that’s pretty much it.

 So, having turned 86 last March, it’s pretty clear to me that the time has finally come to turn this stuff over to others who will put it to better, more frequent use. Accordingly, attached is a list of the gear I want to sell, the prices attached, along with a couple of kit offers. I have tried to price it attractively for the person who wants to upgrade to serious gear without the high-four-digit prices usually attached.

 I think I would prefer to be contacted by email, rather than phone, to set up appointments to view the gear.

On a related subject, it’s hard to believe I was one of the original founders of the Salt Spring Photography Club, lo these many years ago. It has worked out beautifully, well beyond my wildest imagination, with guys like Bob Rogers, Curt Firestone, and Simon Henson (and apologies to those I’ve forgotten to mention) taking it to great new heights, and people like yourself who help to sustain it year after year. I’m still a member, and of course I will remain a member indefinitely.  I really enjoy seeing the club shows every year and watching the remarkable progress of some of the members from where they started to where they have currently arrived.
