Using a 1.4 teleconverter on the 100-400mm lens stopped down the max aperture to f8. The ISO was increased to 400 to compensate since a fast shutter speed helped capture the moment, as these guys were constantly on the move.

Looks like that teleconverter works well!

Wonderful clarity and caught motion. That descending order, the touch of red and the splayed tail feathers just make it for me.
