There is a torch relay ceremony here in Messolonghi Greece for every Olympics as the composer of the original Olympic theme Spyridon Samaras was born here

On October 23, 2009 yachties from Canada staying in the Messalonghi Marina for the winter including Bill and I were on hand to greet the torch relay with all our Canadian flags!
