@Avril Keep in mind my D850 fullframe has the pixel density equivalent of most APS-C cameras, so a "heavy crop" on this one is likely not a whole lot more than a "moderate crop" on an APS-C- Here's an example of the crop amount for this shot: (crop box moved to fit whole image in screenshot)

I'm amazed that your heavy crops are so focussed and clear. Line of branch and line of sight coincide happily.
