Trudy - I love the series and this is an excellent opportunity (like our shoot on the beach) to compare your settings to learn what elements make each photo so different.

In your last one - the vertical twos - the two dead firs, the ladder rails, the perfectly positioned chairs and their reflections are what make it so appealing to me - if you were to crop the right side out you would loose the converging horizontals that keep your eye focused on the doc - the center of interest

I like the canoe bow in the foreground(adds context) and that beautifully coloured shoreline.The different sky colours are interesting.I like the atmospheric 3rd one too.

Not that great because the canoe was moving. I was just glad to see the beaver.
