the macro shot is of very teeny tiny stuff on the side of an upturned rowboat. not sure if it's a strong enough image as it is - i feel that it needs to be part of something else, collaged somehow, maybe the addition of text ( poetry in the form I write, haiku/tanka).  comments appreciated?

Mother nature often presents some amazing abstracts... in this one it appears that She is still working on it and hasn't decided on a real focal point yet.

My solution is a tighter crop and the title, 'China Sea'...

Then, with an increased emphasis on broken circles, we can imagine anything from current politics to sunken treasure, even lost flight MH370.

That works better -IMHO  :-)

Good caption Doug!

thanks for the comments and suggestions, both of you. Doug, you have such a great imagination - always!

I have a hard time letting go of the blue lines at the bottom, perhaps could crop tighter on the R side. will have to do it in increments.

even tighter now. . .

Very creative .... I like it! Tell us what you did to achieve this effect??? The crop does look good also but I rather like those blue lines .... hmmm?

to create it I put my FujiX20 on a super macro setting and clicked the shutter. That's it!

I like the original too, especially the lines that lead my eye into a different part of the image.
